Description

ABOUT YOU

For this particular role, a strong depth of knowledge of finance and regulation is crucial, along with a demonstrable ability to keep on top of the ongoing changes we know and love. Therefore, we request applicants have:

  • Sound technical knowledge, likely to have been obtained via experience, qualifications or a mixture of the two
  • Impeccable writing skills, with an ability to bring complex (or even dry!) subject matters to life
  • This role will involve travel to present at events, seminars and partners around the UK and so the flexibility to travel when needed and a driving licence are essential. The role can therefore be remote, or based from our Darlington office.

Additional desirable attributes are:

  • Proven experience of creating and delivering training content
  • Lively, engaging attitude and a willingness to dive into new things
  • Above all, we need someone to help build out a new role from the ground up, making it an integral part to supporting our clients, our team and the wider industry. Basically, innovation and adaptability need to be your middle names!

ABOUT US

Verve offers a range of services to financial planners and ultimately works towards two key aims; to help support good quality financial advice firms to grow and develop, and to attract new people into financial services and help train them up, for the benefit of the future of the profession.
Across all departments, we approach financial services with a innovative and positive outlook; our focus is on relentlessly improving and never settling for just doing what has always been done. We’re passionate that more people can and should benefit from advice, and it’s our mission to make it more accessible for them.
We offer a range of benefits to permanent employees to ensure our team feels supported and motivated. We reward loyalty and offer enhanced benefits to reward employees who choose to grow their career with us, but as standard these include…

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’ve created a brand new role here at Verve and are embarking on a hunt to find the perfect person for it. If you love all things finance, are a bit of a technical nerd and are confident presenting and writing on complex matters… then read on!
Across Verve we cover the full range of adviser support services and therefore have Subject Matter Experts across all topics; pensions, regulation, tax, trusts - you name it, someone in the team knows it! Until now, our SMEs have all contributed towards our events, webinars, blogs and Dextera content which has been brilliant. However, as we grow and as their ‘day jobs’ get increasingly busy, we have decided to carve out a specific role that is focused on all things technical.
The person who gets this role will still have the SMEs in the business to lean on (we’re not expecting you to know absolutely everything about everything!) but will take ownership of creating and delivering technical expertise to support our clients and the wider advice community.

THE ROLE INCLUDES:

  • Creating content for, and delivering, training events. These could be virtual or in person
  • Creating blogs, whitepapers, Bulletins and other technical content
  • Delivering internal training to ensure the latest technical knowledge across the Verve team
  • Updating collateral in the Resource Hub and Training Library in Dextera
  • Delivering updates and hot topics to our partners across the UK
  • Helping with answering technical queries that come into Verve from clients (alongside the Technical Team)
