Description

Super Retail Group is the proud owner of four iconic brands: Supercheap Auto, rebel, BCF and Macpac, and is one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest retailers. The talent of our teams and their passion for providing an experience which inspires and enhances our customers’ leisure time drives our culture of innovation and opportunity.

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking an individual with demonstrated leadership in achieving stretch targets and influencing cross-functional teams. You will have strong strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement skills, with a customer-centric approach to issue resolution and stakeholder alignment. Your collaborative mindset and passion for mentoring and capability uplift will be key to this role.

In addition, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading an Architecture Centre of Expertise (CoE) from the ground up, with a proven ability to drive strategic capability across large and complex enterprise environments.
  • Ability to consult across all technical design levels—planning, integration, scalability, and implementation.
  • Proven success in navigating high-pressure environments and resolving complex roadblocks.
  • Skilled in analysing complex systems and developing innovative alternatives.
  • Experience in developing digital strategy and vision, aligning technology and capabilities to execution.
  • Architecture experience with an understanding of architecture standards and methodologies, and governance.
Responsibilities

Join our Digital & Technology (D&T) team as the Head of Technology Architecture, where you’ll shape the future of our technology landscape and drive innovation across domains.
Reporting to the GM D&T Strategy Delivery, you will build and lead a cutting-edge Architecture Centre of Expertise (CoE). This is a rare opportunity to lay the foundation for architectural excellence—embedding capability, driving innovation, and influencing the future direction of enterprise technology across a complex and evolving organisation.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Architecture Centre of Expertise (CoE): Build the CoE around a strategic vision and uplift the governance framework, and operating model to deliver architectural capability across the enterprise.
  • Team Management and People Leadership: Form, maintain and lead workgroups and individuals to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Domain Architecture: Lead the Domain Architects to deliver their outcomes and ensure they have consistent outcomes in terms of process, approach, and engagement with their customers.
  • Solution Architecture: Lead the Solution Architects to deliver their outcomes for projects to support the Domain Architecture and deliver the Future State Architecture.
  • Relationship Management: Identify the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups.

This role offers the flexibility to be based in Brisbane (Strathpine - ideal location), Sydney (Rhodes), or Melbourne, with a hybrid work arrangement.
