Description

HEAD OF TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a new Head of Technology and Innovation (IT) to lead the fantastic Technology and Innovation (T&I) team at Tai Tarian and to be an expert advisor to the Executive and Board around all matters IT related.
Tai Tarian is the social landlord for over 9,000 properties across Neath Port Talbot. We are looking for motivated people who want to be part of a team who pride themselves on delivering excellence.
This is an exciting time for change in Tai Tarian with our vision to provide sustainable homes, develop sustainable communities and drive change for a sustainable planet.
This role is a permanent role with a salary of £78,453 per annum.

The key opportunities of this role are listed below:

  • Creating strong relationships with internal stakeholders and engaging with their priorities to seek the best technical solutions to meet their needs.
  • Developing the skills and expertise of the team to manage all aspects of a modern IT service and all elements in an end-to-end implementation cycle.
  • Creating a new offer for the business in terms of how T&I will support our business transformation ambitions (including a full systems replacement programme).
  • Developing an outcome-based mindset in the proposal (and selection) of technical solutions.
  • Creating strong relationships with external contractors and IT Partners to ensure that our needs are understood and met and that service levels are maintained throughout the relationship.
  • Promoting a learning culture which improves data and digital literacy across the business and helps us to capitalise on new and leading-edge technology.
  • Managing a safe and secure BAU environment and a ‘live’/executable disaster recovery plan
  • Shaping and delivering the T&I value for money offer to the business.

You will have great people skills and some IT expertise – we don’t expect you to know everything in this diverse field but knowing enough to identify when specialist help is needed will ensure we effectively manage IT risks.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance, you will have ample opportunity to practice your skills at communicating with a non-IT specialist and as we build confidence in each other, the space and scope to apply your expertise to maximise your impact.
As we embark on a full systems replacement programme, this role offers the opportunity to create a meaningful legacy, that will make a real difference to our tenants and colleagues for years to come.
Please find attached the Head of Technology & Innovation role profile for the full job description and person specification.
