AstraZeneca, a leading global biopharmaceutical company, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Tender and Mature Products to lead and manage our Tender and Mature Product team reporting to the CFO. This critical role involves the oversight of tender management and driving the success of our mature product portfolio while ensuring alignment with the company’s financial objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Oversight of tender process: Lead the execution of tendering processes and ensure alignment with corporate financial goals. Lead market evolution assessment, monitoring hospital tender offers. Oversee the tender analysis, bid preparation, and contract negotiation for pharmaceutical products across regions.Commercial support: work closely with market access, regulatory and business to develop early access strategies to secure product availability to patients ahead of reimbursement. Propose the commercial policy for Public and private hospitals
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of specialists, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in tender management. Foster an environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and professional development.
Risk Management: Analyze tender documents focusing on contractual and regional agreements. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance and maximizing competitive advantage.
Performance Monitoring: Oversee monitoring of regional and hospital contract executions through key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting. Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and continuous evaluation of performance metrics.
Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including commercial business units, and external stakeholders such as hospital pharmacists, procurement officers, and regional purchasing centers.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the tender management process. Support innovation and refinement of processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Market Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the pharmaceutical market, particularly the hospital sector, and the public purchasing processes and regulations.
