Job Description Head of Tendering & Pre-Construction Knebworth Permanent, full-time Competitive salary plus benefits The role will head up the Utility Line’s Tendering & Pre-Construction departments, working on full turnkey electrical projects throughout the UK. In this role you will lead the Tendering and Pre-Construction Teams throughout the initial stages of projects from initial enquiries in all the way through to handover at Pre-Construction. Recently acquired by Adler & Allan, our focus for 24-25 is growth and market leadership with a focus always on a high standard of customer service. More about the role: Tendering Support the team with the scope of new project enquiries. Drive business development initiatives to facilitate sustainable revenue growth. Support the Tendering Manager by providing clear direction, guidance and set expectations for the relevant individual and wider estimating team. Support the Managing Director in defining target markets, identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. Ensure existing leads and outstanding tenders are followed up by the Bid Team and act as support if/when required to make adjustments to win new projects. Ensure that the output of new tenders are always managed in a timely manner. Ensure the timely handover of won projects to the Pre-Construction teams. Pre-Construction Act as a contact with our customers to handle all escalated issues relating to pre-construction and receiving feedback on our performance to. Ensure that handovers from the Pre-Construction team to the Construction teams are completed on time and in line with client expectations. Provide technical support to Pre-Construction team and others who may require. Overall Deliver supportive business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct. contribution to management team meetings, briefing and correspondence. Identify and implement performance improvement processes. Monthly and ad-hoc reporting on your business functions. Forecast project delivery timescales to support operational delivery planning. Qualifications About you: Do you have proven experience in a senior tendering/preconstruction role? Do you possess strong commercial acumen and understanding of contract types and procurement routes?
