Job Description Role Overview: As the Head of Tool Service and Maintenance, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of injection molding tools and related equipment to ensure seamless production performance. You will lead and develop a team of skilled technicians, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards while maintaining high levels of efficiency and reliability of the injection molding tools while in operation. Job Description Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the tool service team to ensure optimal performance. Assign tasks and manage workflow for efficiency and resource utilization. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Quality & Compliance: Ensure that the tool service and maintenance process comply with the safety regulations, and the standards required by the pharma industry Work closely with production, and quality teams to resolve tooling-related issues. Maintain accurate records of tool maintenance and modifications. Process Improvement & Innovation: Oversee preventive maintenance of injection molding tools and molds to minimize downtime. Identify opportunities to optimize tooling processes and reduce maintenance costs Implement best practices and state of the art technology for tool service and maintenance Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering. 5–7 years of experience in tool service, mold maintenance, or related fields. Proven leadership in managing technical teams within manufacturing. Experience in injection molding or medical devices is a plus. Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in tooling design, machining (grinding, milling, turning). Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization. Leadership & Soft Skills: Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management capabilities. Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting skills. Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, production, and quality teams.
