Description

Job Purpose : * Primarily responsible for leading the Bank’s Treasury Trading activities in Egypt across key markets, such as Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Fixed Income and approved Derivative products, in line with Central Bank of Egypt regulations, internal risk limits, and Group Treasury governance standards. Responsible for managing the dealing room strategy, liquidity positioning, and trading performance to support the Bank’s balance sheet priorities while ensuring disciplined risk-taking and full regulatory compliance. Key Results Area * Manage all Treasury trading activities across asset classes, such as: FX Spot and Swaps, Money Market placements, Government Securities (T-Bills/T-Bonds), and approved hedging and derivative solutions, subject to internal approvals and regulatory requirements. * Drive sustainable profitability through disciplined execution, market-making, and active balance sheet deployment within approved limits. * Oversee daily liquidity and funding positioning in local and foreign currency, supporting ALM requirements and treasury optimization. * Ensure competitive execution in Egypt’s interbank markets while maintaining strong relationships with key counterparties and market participants. * Support Treasury Sales and Origination teams by providing timely pricing, structuring input, and efficient execution capability. * Monitor market risk exposures and ensure adherence to all internal frameworks, including stop-loss limits, NOP controls, liquidity ratios, and escalation triggers. * Lead continuous strengthening of dealing room governance, controls, reporting discipline, and operational robustness. Coach and develop junior traders and dealers, ensuring strong conduct, capability building, and succession planning. Knowledge , Skills and Experience : * Graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent. * Minimum 12+ years of Treasury Markets experience with strong Egypt market expertise. * Deep knowledge of FX, liquidity management, government securities, and approved hedging structures. * Strong understanding of Central Bank of Egypt regulations and Group Treasury governance expectations. Proven leadership experience in managing a dealing room function.
