As Head of UK Online Compliance for 888 William Hill, you’ll ensure the company’s UK online operations meet all legal, regulatory, and industry requirements, including KYC, AML, CTF, and responsible gambling. You’ll play a key role in promoting a culture of integrity and compliance, working closely with regulators, internal stakeholders, and UK business teams to maintain strong compliance frameworks.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • In-depth understanding of LCCP, AML, MLR, CTF requirements, relevant guidance, and online gambling compliance frameworks, including responsible gambling and regulatory best practices
  • Proven track record in leading and managing compliance programs, teams, and risk management initiatives within regulated environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and engage with external stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and a commitment to building a world-class compliance function for UK online; personal licence holder or willing and able to obtain one.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance with UKGC Licensing Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP), including social responsibility and anti-money laundering requirements, while staying current with UK gambling regulations and industry codes of practice
  • Lead regulatory reporting, license renewals, audits, and serve as the main point of contact for regulatory inquiries related to UK online compliance matters
  • Develop, implement, and maintain tailored compliance policies and procedures for the UK online environment, ensuring effective monitoring and adherence
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks within UK online operations
  • Oversee and maintain internal controls, including periodic reviews, to safeguard against non-compliance and ensure operational integrity
  • Deliver compliance training and foster a culture of awareness and ethical behaviour within UK online teams
  • Lead investigations into potential compliance breaches or incidents, developing and executing appropriate incident response plans
  • Build strong relationships with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders, representing the company in discussions, forums, and compliance events.
