About the role Southern Cross is seeking a relationship-driven Head of Value Based Healthcare Delivery with a passion for improving member outcomes to join our senior leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the transition from traditional activity-based to value-based healthcare, driving pilots and cross-functional initiatives that deliver measurable benefits for our members. You’ll oversee our commissioning portfolio while collaborating with specialist teams to deliver projects and strengthen provider relationships. As a senior ambassador for Value Based Healthcare, your leadership will foster collaboration, embed best practices, align our work with the organisation’s broader strategic goals, and play a key role in shaping the future of healthcare delivery at Southern Cross. About you: We are seeking an accomplished leader with at least 10 years’ experience in the healthcare sector, including a strong background in healthcare commissioning, service planning, and healthcare contracting and performance management. The ideal candidate will: Have extensive experience in outcome and value-based healthcare with a track record of improving member outcomes and experiences Possess outstanding leadership and relationship skills; this role requires both strategic leadership of a team as well as the ability to cultivate strong executive-level relationships with external providers. Demonstrate the ability to understand clinical data, translate into meaningful insights, and communicate clearly and persuasively to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders Embrace change, foster innovation, and champion a collaborative, cross-functional culture.
