Job Description Summary The future is ours to shape! Job Description Head Procurement EU API leads the European API purchasing organization, driving maximum value through global, regional, and local sourcing initiatives. This role oversees site-level API procurement while coordinating a team of category managers and experts to support internal stakeholders and ensure Sandoz secures the best overall cost through strong supplier advantage. Key Responsibilities: Prepare an annual purchasing strategy for the API category Europe and ensure it is aligned to Global Procurement Strategies. Direct the development of annual Procurement business plans and tactical plans in line with agreed sourcing strategy, ensuring full alignment with unit, and set stretch targets for the team, benchmarking versus best in class external organizations, and measure achievement of objectives against KPIs. Direct the identification of sourcing strategies (preferred suppliers, outsourcing) and identify, engage and manage the relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers, and exert significant influence to drive Procurement projects. Direct the negotiation of agreements and lead the establishment of contracts to decrease total cost with specified quality and service levels and ensure supply security, and ensure that savings are tracked according to group guidelines ($100-$750m). Direct the implementation and utilization of Procurement systems and tools in Countries and ensure consistent tracking of savings and other Procurement KPIs, according to group policies. Demonstrate thought leadership related to the identification, implementation and continuous improvement of sourcing best practices, systems and processes and policies alignment. Direct the preparation and finalization of Procurement investments plans and budgets. Oversee the coordination and development of Procurement teams (size 5-10). Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Sandoz products within 24 hours of receipt -Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable) What you will bring to the role: University Diploma in Natural or Social sciences 5-10 years experience in procurement in the pharmaceutical industry Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within diverse, international environments, adapting communication and leadership styles to different cultural contexts. Proven track record of working seamlessly across regions, functions, and organizational levels to drive alignment, influence stakeholders, and deliver shared objectives. Strong experience leading complex, high‑value negotiations Ability to define and implement strategies that support long‑term business goals People leadership and project management skills Fluent in written and spoken English. Delovno mesto zajema vodenje nabave API‑jev na ravni posameznih lokacij ter koordinacijo ekipe kategorijskih menedžerjev in strokovnjakov, ki podpirajo interne deležnike ter zagotavljajo, da Sandoz dosega najboljšo skupno stroškovno učinkovitost z izkoriščanjem konkurenčnih prednosti dobaviteljev. Ključne odgovornosti: Priprava letne nabavne strategije za kategorijo API Evropa in zagotovitev njene uskladitve z globalnimi nabavnimi strategijami. Usmerjanje razvoja letnih poslovnih in taktičnih načrtov nabave v skladu z dogovorjeno strategijo, postavljanje ambicioznih ciljev za ekipo, primerjava z najboljšimi praksami zunanjih organizacij ter merjenje doseganja ciljev s pomočjo KPI‑jev. Vodenje identifikacije nabavnih strategij (prednostni dobavitelji, zunanje izvajanje), ter prepoznavanje, vključenost in upravljanje ključnih notranjih deležnikov in zunanjih dobaviteljev, z visokim vplivom na uspešno izvedbo nabavnih projektov. Vodenje pogajanj ter priprave pogodb, z namenom znižanja skupnih stroškov ob zagotavljanju dogovorjene kakovosti in ravni storitev ter varnosti dobave; zagotavljanje sledenja prihrankom skladno s skupinskimi smernicami (100–750 mio USD). Usmerjanje implementacije in uporabe nabavnih orodij in sistemov v državah ter zagotavljanje doslednega spremljanja prihrankov in drugih nabavnih KPI‑jev skladno s skupinskimi politikami. Zagotavljanje miselnega voditeljstva na področju prepoznavanja, uvajanja in nenehnega izboljševanja najboljših praks, sistemov, procesov in politik na področju nabave. Vodenje priprave in zaključevanja investicijskih načrtov in proračunov za nabavo. Nadzor nad koordinacijo in razvojem nabavnih ekip (velikost 5–10). Prijava tehničnih reklamacij / neželenih dogodkov / posebnih primerov, povezanih s proizvodi Sandoz, v 24 urah od prejema; distribucija marketinških vzorcev (kjer je to ustrezno). Vaš doprinos k delovnem mestu: Univerzitetna diploma iz naravoslovnih ali družboslovnih področij. 5–10 let izkušenj v nabavi v farmacevtski industriji. Dokazana sposobnost učinkovitega delovanja v raznolikih, mednarodnih okoljih ter prilagajanja komunikacijskih in vodstvenih slogov različnim kulturnim kontekstom. Dokazane izkušnje sodelovanja preko regij, funkcij in organizacijskih ravni z namenom usklajevanja, vplivanja na deležnike ter doseganja skupnih ciljev. Močne izkušnje pri vodenju kompleksnih, visoko vrednih pogajanj. Sposobnost definiranja in izvajanja strategij, ki podpirajo dolgoročne poslovne cilje.
