Job Description Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Compliance FSQMS Ownership: Design, implement, and maintain the company’s comprehensive FSQMS, including programs such as HACCP, GMPs, Sanitation, Allergen Control, and Traceability. Regulatory Liaison: Ensure full compliance with all local, federal, and international food safety laws and regulations [e.g., FDA, USDA, local health codes]. Stay current on all legislative changes. Audit Management: Lead all internal, customer, and third-party certification audits (e.g., SQF, BRC, ISO 22000, Halal). Manage all Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) stemming from audits. Strategic QA: Develop and monitor key quality metrics (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement, reduce product waste, minimize the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and increase overall production efficiency. Operational Oversight Process Control: Partner with Operations and Production teams to integrate quality standards seamlessly into manufacturing processes, including line checks, finished product testing, and packaging integrity. Supplier Quality: Establish a rigorous Supplier Qualification Program. Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure all raw materials and ingredients meet predefined quality and safety specifications. Incident Response: Lead and investigate all quality-related incidents, customer complaints, and potential food safety issues. Oversee product holds, recalls, and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Team Development: Lead, mentor, and manage the QA/QC team, developing specialized training programs to build food safety competency company-wide.
