Location: Redmond Compensation: $35.81/hour-Exempt, (Plus $0.50/hour for Spanish Bilingual ability), Hours: Regular full-time (40 hours/week), subject to normal school furloughs Benefits: 100% premium paid Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, Agency paid Retirement plan (up to 6%), almost 2 weeks of vacation time accrued in your first year, plus 14 paid Holidays annually, and a separate sick leave accrual NeighborImpact Head Start Overview The Head Start and Early Head Start program strengthens families and closes the achievement gap for over 500 of Central Oregon’s most vulnerable and at-risk children aged 0-5 and pregnant mothers. Head Start/Early Head Start integrates high-quality early education and family engagement with other critical services. Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities: This role involves overseeing designated Head Start classrooms and leading the site staff through coaching, mentoring, supervision, and training. The Site Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the site complies with Head Start Performance Standards, Oregon Child Care Licensing, and the Quality Rating Improvement System. Additionally, this role requires collaboration with Content Area Coordinators/Managers to ensure integrated and documented service delivery. The position also serves as a communication link between site staff and Head Start Leadership and is an active participant in the Head Start Leadership team. Requirements Required Associate’s degree in early childhood education or related field required, with a minimum of 35 college quarter credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related classes. Diploma and transcripts are required to validate Early Childhood Education/Related field and to verify ECE/Social Services related coursework Must be able to attain Teaching Strategies GOLD reliability within 90 days Must be able to attain CLASS reliability within 90 days and maintain reliability Frequent kneeling, stooping, bending, and sitting on the floor to attend to children’s needs. This position is rated as active and occasionally requires the individual to lift 50 pounds Required prior to date of hire and throughout employment: · Valid driver’s license · Proof of current auto insurance · Food Handler’s Card · Current enrollment in the OR Child Care Division-Central Background Registry (CBR) · Access to reliable transportation required Within 60 days of hire, Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification is required Above certifications must be kept current to remain employed · Must have an initial health examination, and a periodic re-examination (as recommended by health care provider) so as to assure that employees do not because of communicable diseases, pose a significant risk to the health or safety of others, that cannot be eliminated or reduced by reasonable accommodation. Preferred Bachelor’s degree is preferred in early childhood education or related field, with a minimum of 35 college quarter credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related classes. Three years progressively responsible professional experience with demonstrated experience in administration and supervision preferred
