Uncommon Ground Roasting Company Ltd are looking for an experienced Head Supervisor to join our team.
We are seeking a passionate individual who thrives in a busy environment, delivers outstanding customer service, and is confident in leading a team. This is a key role within the company, where the successful candidate will act as head supervisor across both our Royal Arcade and Pontcanna locations, ensuring our high standards are consistently maintained. You will work closely alongside the owners and help manage the day-to-day operations.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Strong leadership and delegation skills.
  • Experience supervising or managing a team in a hospitality environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Proactive in keeping premises clean, safe, and welcoming.
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise staff across both Uncommon Ground sites.
  • Work directly with the owners to uphold company values and standards.
  • Organise shifts, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong guest relationships.
  • Maintain the highest coffee-making standards, following recipes and procedures.
  • Oversee quality control of all products, displays, and labels.
  • Carry out kitchen prep work, ensuring food quality and consistency.
  • Ensure correct use of equipment and adherence to Health & Food Safety guidelines.
  • Support and train staff to ensure consistency in service, coffee, and food quality.
  • Manage high-volume service efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Oversee tills, cash handling, and correct transaction procedures.
