JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Head/Lead Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and handling, with a particular focus on sushi and Japanese cuisine. As a Head/Lead Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant’s standards while ensuring exceptional presentation and flavor.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling, culinary techniques, and meal preparation processes.
  • Experience in catering or dietary departments is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all food handling and preparation meets health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, including proper storage of ingredients.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service.
  • Assist in menu development by suggesting new sushi items or seasonal specials.
