Description

POSITION INFORMATION

Rooty Hill High School is a successful, comprehensive secondary 7-12 located on the Darug lands in western Sydney. Our 1100 students come from diverse cultural, linguistic and economic backgrounds, including 5% Aboriginal and Torres Islander students and just over 65% of students with a language background other than English. Our purpose is to give each student the opportunity to do his or her best in a mainstream setting. All our students have personalised learning plans and we plan learning journeys and transitions using multiple vocational and university pathways. We have strong relationships with the local AECG, community and with key not-for-profit, university and business partners. We have been recognised in recent years for our leadership in professional practice, student agency, entrepreneurial learning, student academic goal setting and self-reporting, and personalised portfolios that recognise student progress and achievement within and beyond the NESA curriculum and ACARA capabilities.
