This is a guaranteed 40 hour contract. Rate per hour dependable on experience + monthly tips
We are recruiting a Head Therapist/ Assistant Spa Manager to join the team at the Thurlestone Hotel.
Live in accommodation is available in our fully refurbished staff accommodation just a 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel.
Thurlestone Hotel & Spa is a luxury, family-owned, 4-star 65-bedroom hotel situated on the spectacular South Devon coast. The hotel includes the 2 AA Rosette Trevilder Restaurant, Voyage Spa, 9-hole golf course, The Village inn Pub as well as a range of sports facilities including tennis, squash and a seasonal kids club.

Responsibilities
  • To provide beauty treatments for clients i.e. massage and facials, to the standard required by Voyage Spa.
  • Be responsible for the completing the Stock Take and ordering of all professional and retail stock on a monthly basis after the Spa Manager has approved the order. Orders should be processed by purchase order and signed by the general manager.
  • To hold regular meetings with the Therapists and feed back to the Spa Manager in their absence everything discussed.
  • To maintain the cleanliness and order of the treatment rooms. Making sure all equipment and other items are in a suitable state.
  • Always ensure that there is a strong emphasis on personal service with constant training with all the therapists to make sure this is maintained.
  • Ensure that client confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Ensure that consultations are completed for every client that has a treatment and to carry out training for any therapists who isn’t confident with this.
  • Ensuring that all complaints are dealt with in a reasonable, tactful and efficient way, referring complaints when necessary to the Spa Manager.
