Description Position: Head Varsity Softball Coach Reports to: Athletics Director FLMA: Non-exempt Job Status: Seasonal Season Dates: January 2026 - April 2026 Adventure Christian School is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Varsity Softball Coach to lead and grow our high school softball program. The head coach will be responsible for building a competitive program while developing student-athletes' skills, character, and leadership, in alignment with the mission of ACS Athletics. Key Responsibilities Plan and lead all practices, games, and program activities Develop and implement a comprehensive program vision Teach fundamental and advanced softball skills, strategies, and game concepts Foster a positive, disciplined, and Christ-centered team culture Provide leadership, mentorship, and accountability for student-athletes Manage scheduling, communication, and overall program organization Collaborate with the Athletic Director and school administration Ensure compliance with CIF and school policies Promote program growth and student participation Other duties assigned by the Athletics Director Requirements Spiritual & Character Expectations: Model Christ-like character in all interactions Support the mission and values of Adventure Christian School Encourage spiritual growth and accountability among student-athletes Be willing to participate in team devotions and program culture-building activities Qualifications Previous softball coaching experience (high school level preferred) Strong knowledge of softball fundamentals and strategy Proven leadership and program-building ability Excellent communication and organizational skills Physical Requirements Position requires moderate physical exertion associated with the ability to lift, carry, push, pull or climb. Position requires physical capability for sustained physical work, requires strength and endurance associated with moderate physical effort. Position requires moderate physical effort while performing continuous moderate lifting. Lifting 50 lbs. maximum or carrying an object up to 25 lbs.
