Job Description We are looking for a Head Nurse to guide and develop our teams across our Noosa General Practice clinic and Animal Emergency Centre! Join a friendly and experienced team of Veterinarians and Vet Nurses operating across a busy, gold accredited feline GP clinic and a premier after-hours emergency centre. We take pride in our state-of-the-art hospital, dedicated staff, and patient-focused approach and seek a like-minded, highly motivated nurse with a strong background in leadership and emergency care. We are ideally looking for someone Full-time, but Part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate! What you’ll be doing each day; Managing a team of GP and Emergency Vet Nurses Supporting our busy Vet teams Guiding and developing the Vet Nurse teams, building a positive team culture Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care Performing minor procedures when required Handling client enquiries professionally in person, by email and over the phone What you’ll bring; Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent Minimum 4+ years of experience working as a vet nurse ECC nursing experience (or extensive GP nursing with strong emergency skills) Confidence in working within a busy hospital setting Team building skills with previous experience leading and/or mentoring a team Strong communication and customer service skills Availability to work every second weekend advantageous Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications Opportunities for professional development and continuing education Supportive and collaborative work environment Access to state-of-the-art veterinary equipment and facilities Discounts on veterinary services and retail products No day will be the same, but you will always have a supportive team around you and fantastic clients and pets walking through the door.
