We are looking for an Experienced Head Nurse who has strong communication and team building skills and previous experience leading and motivating a high functioning nursing team. You’ll be part of a close-knit team of 5 vets and 6 nurses who genuinely support one another and create a welcoming, family-like atmosphere. Our clinic isn’t just about cats and dogs: we also treat exotics and offer hydrotherapy sessions to support rehabilitation and recovery. Our Clinic includes: 4 spacious consult rooms A welcoming waiting area A fully equipped treatment room Dedicated surgical theatre Imaging suite Combined dog and cat wards designed for patient comfort We’re proud to offer advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house pathology, and more. About your new role: Full-time role managing a team of Vet Nurses and supporting busy Vets Guiding and developing the Nurse team, building a positive team culture Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care Taking initiative to enhance clinic operations and efficiency Collaborating with the veterinary team to ensure high standards of patient care Handling client enquiries professionally in person, by email and over the phone We are looking for a candidate who: Holds a Cert IV qualification in Veterinary Nursing with minimum of 4+ years of experience Experience coaching and mentoring Vet Nurses Possesses strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within a team Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills Is dedicated to providing outstanding patient care No day will be the same, but you will always have a supportive team around you and fantastic clients and pets walking through the door.
