Greencross Wishart is located in a friendly suburb with a close community feel - we have a long-standing and established client base who we have built great trusting relationships with over the years. As Head Nurse, you will be a steady, dependable presence who’s always thinking one step ahead, a team player who is great with people and animals alike! The responsibilities of this position will include: Managing a team of Vet Nurses and supporting busy Vets Guiding and developing the Nurse team, building a positive team culture Undertaking general nursing tasks, including team-based consulting, pathology, surgical nursing, administration duties and emergency and critical care Taking initiative to enhance clinic operations and efficiency Collaborating with the veterinary team to ensure high standards of patient care Handling client enquiries professionally in person, by email and over the phone Managing stock inventory to enable high quality of patient care Organising maintenance and repairs of equipment in conjunction with the practice manager Our ideal candidate: Holds a Cert IV qualification in Veterinary Nursing with minimum of 4+ years of experience Possesses strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within a team A genuine love for upskilling and mentoring Vet Nurses Strong knowledge of surgical nursing techniques and procedures Calm, friendly, empathetic, and mature Great communication and customer service skills Knowledge of RX Works ideal but not essential Apply Now!
