Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The Head Waiter is responsible for supervising waiters, waitresses, and runners in designated sections, as well as serving customers to ensure their needs are met with high-quality service in a timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recommend food and beverages to customers, take their orders, and communicate them to the kitchen and/or bar staff accordingly.
  • Supervise and serve food and beverages in accordance with the brand’s procedures and standards to ensure outstanding customer service.
  • Carry out various customer service activities, including handling bill payments and complaints, and escalate complex issues to the manager.
  • Supervise the execution of food and beverage preparation techniques in accordance with the brand’s standards and report any non-conformities to the manager.
  • Prepare and send the daily order to the storekeeper to replenish needed items. Conduct weekly and monthly counts of crockery, cutlery, condiments, and other floor needs to inform the manager.
  • Participate in the restaurant’s mandatory opening and closing procedures to ensure work is performed to the required quality standards, including counting and recording tips, while adhering to norms and internal standards.
  • Participate in achieving the set targets for the brand shop.
  • Conduct briefings and training for assigned team members as needed. Monitor the performance of waiters and runners, providing feedback to higher management.
