Located within the award-winning Calile Hotel precinct on James Street, Sushi Room offers guests an elevated yet welcoming atmosphere where every detail matters. As part of St Albans Hospitality, you'll be joining a collection of Brisbane's leading hospitality venues, including Hellenika, SK Steak & Oyster and Sunshine.

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Head Waiter to join our team. This is a casual position offering consistent hours, with the opportunity for a full-time position for the right person.

Your Role As Head Waiter, you'll lead service from the floor, setting the standard for exceptional hospitality while supporting and mentoring the front-of-house team. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you'll help deliver seamless service, build a positive team culture and ensure every guest leaves with an outstanding experience.

Your Key Responsibilities

Lead service each shift with confidence and professionalism. Mentor, coach and support junior team members. Assist with training and onboarding new employees. Maintain exceptional service standards and attention to detail.

Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure smooth daily operations.

About You

You’ll bring: Previous experience as a Head Waiter, Senior Section Waiter or Supervisor within a premium restaurant. A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences. Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire those around you.

Outstanding communication and organisational skills. Excellent food, wine and beverage knowledge. A calm, professional approach in a fast-paced environment. Full working rights in Australia. A current RSA Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
