Description

COULD YOU BE THE HEADTEACHER WHO CHANGES EVERYTHING?

Not every school is looking for just another Headteacher. Some are searching for a leader with vision, courage, and resilience — someone who doesn’t just lead, but transforms.
If you’re a Head, Deputy, or senior leader with the experience, emotional intelligence, and drive to lead through challenge and rebuild with purpose, this may be the role you’ve been waiting for.

ABOUT US

We are a market-leading education recruitment agency working with schools across Bournemouth and the South Coast. We’re part of The Edwin Group, an education alliance committed to doing good, and proud to be named in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Places to Work in the UK 2024.
We do not discriminate on the grounds of age, gender, race, colour, religion, disability, or sexual orientation, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

This Headship in Bournemouth is a rare and exciting opportunity to take the lead in a school with potential, space to grow, and a team ready to be inspired. You’ll be shaping a learning environment where children develop as confident learners, responsible citizens, and aspirational individuals.
We are seeking a strong, visible, and values-led leader – someone who inspires confidence, builds trust quickly, and leads by example. You will balance strategic vision with day-to-day presence, listen before you lead, and bring clarity and belief to teams who need it most.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set and implement a clear, ambitious vision that reflects the school’s values and community.
  • Raise standards and expectations for behaviour, wellbeing, and achievement across the school.
  • Cultivate a high-performing, supportive staff culture that values development, celebrates success, and retains talent.
  • Strengthen community relationships with families, governors, and external partners.
  • Lead strategic development of teaching, learning, curriculum and safeguarding.
  • Use the school’s resources, facilities, and unique curriculum to create meaningful opportunities and raise aspirations for all pupils.
  • Leave a legacy of sustainable, long-term impact.
