Responsibilities
  • Delivers exceptional instruction in assigned content area(s) that ensures academic growth for all students.
  • Master the necessary content knowledge and skills to successfully teach assigned content area(s).
  • Develops and maintains lesson plans in compliance with program requirements to ensure delivery of course content areas.
  • Provides an encouraging and supportive learning environment recognizing student accomplishments and achievements.
  • Maintains accurate records of student’s achievement and complete progress reports and report cards promptly and as scheduled.
  • Compiles student work into portfolio in compliance with program requirements.
  • Encourages student use of technology.
  • Maintain availability for weekly tutoring sessions or student assistance upon request.
  • Assess special needs of students and provide information and appropriate referral in consultation with program coordinator.
  • Punctually attend and positively contribute at all staff meetings, project team meetings, professional development, In-Service and special events.
  • Able to withstand physical requirements such as sitting, walking and bending for long periods of time.
  • Performs other duties as requested by Director.
  • Promotes school Mission amongst students.
