The Role: We are recruiting an Apprentice Health and Safety Advisor to join our Health & Safety Team, which is integral to our Group function. You will work across the Rix businesses, helping to manage and develop our approach to safety. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn and grow in the field of health and safety. Possibly someone looking to complete a business administration apprenticeship.
Location: Based at our head office overlooking the marina in Hull, you will gain hands-on experience and knowledge in health & safety, with a supportive team to guide you.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
  • An eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

SKILLS DESIRED:

  • An interest in health and safety practices.
  • A willingness to engage and challenge current practices constructively and proactively.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in day-to-day activities to ensure the smooth running of the function, including document reviews, and related admin.
  • Supporting safety audits and action close out, ensuring documentation is up to date.
  • Help coordinate related training.
  • Help develop and roll out new safety systems and approaches across the businesses.
  • Assist in coordination of Occupational Health provision.
  • Process accident data and KPIs accurately.
  • Maintain health and safety documentation and systems.
