POSITION OVERVIEW

Brass Inc. is looking for an H&S Administrator in a full-time permanent position working out of our main office in Utica, Ontario. Reporting to the Office Manager, this position is responsible for managing, maintaining, and administering Brass Inc.’s safety program with the objective of eliminating/minimizing accidents, injuries, and environmental damages. Working with all levels of Operations and Administration in order to promote safe working conditions, safe work practices, and environments.
A day in the life:
· Assisting in the development, maintenance, updates, and administration of the Health and Safety Program.
· Monitor and advise on legislative changes relating to health and safety within the organization and industry-specific compliance changes.
· Completion of incident reports in a timely manner following incidents of all levels of concern.
· Conduct monthly health and safety meetings for all employees at all company locations.
· Conduct safety training for all new employees.

· Complete internal audits of the IRS, Joint Health and Safety Committee, and site audit document tracking

  • Includes but not limited to, quarterly truck audits, monthly shop inspections, and weekly site inspections to determine compliance.

· Ensure that appropriate personal protective equipment is provided and available on request for all employees
· Daily reviews of tailboards, pre-trip inspection and timesheets to ensure accuracy and completion for all employees – addressing any concerns accordingly.
· Ensure all daily production updates and daily work logs are inputted and sent to the appropriate contacts.
· Organize and maintain the system for contaminated material and manifest preparation
· Assist with general office and administrative duties when required (AP, filing, record keeping, etc.)
