The role

  • This role supports Senior Managers at London Stansted Airport (STAL) by providing expert advice on health, safety, and risk, driving continuous improvement across the operation.
  • While not replacing line management responsibility, the role ensures statutory compliance, promotes a safe working environment, and helps reduce incidents and associated costs.
  • It involves guiding both internal teams and third parties with timely advice, training, and best practices on safety policies and procedures.

What will make you successful in the role?

  • Prior experience as a Health & Safety Professional in an operational environment and a proven record of accomplishment in the delivery of business objectives and health & safety accredited management systems.
  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (Level 6) or equivalent.
  • Continuous Personal Development in H&S should be demonstrated
  • Effective communication and influencing skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the business.
  • Strong ability to analyse information and to determine effective solutions.
  • Investigation Techniques
  • Prominent level of computer literacy.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and manage demands.
