Salary: £31,537 - £33,699  per annum Hours per week: 37 hours  Interview date: Week commencing Tuesday 5 May 2026   We are seeking a proactive and confident Business Support Officer to play a key role in supporting our busy Health and Safety Service. Every day you will be at the heart of our advisory function, responding to queries, helping services navigate complex issues, and ensuring decisions are safe, informed, and aligned with statutory responsibilities.   The Health & Safety service delivers professional audit, advisory, training, and incident‑investigation support to ensure statutory compliance, reduce corporate risk, and maintain core staff competencies.  You will be relied on to recognise when matters need escalating, often in situations where staff may be distressed or conversations emotionally challenging. Alongside this, you will provide high‑quality administrative and governance support, from preparing agendas and minutes to maintaining action plans across key Health and Safety Boards and steering groups.  This role offers a meaningful opportunity to help keep our workforce and community safe, so if you enjoy problem‑solving, research, data analysis, and improving how services work we want to hear from you!  Why us?
