Here at Electricity Asset Services (EAS), we are currently looking for an experienced Health and Safety Compliance Officer to help us maintain the highest standards across every aspect of our work.. This role will be based at our head office in Lochgelly or Larbert and on-site working 45 hours per week.

WHO WE ARE

EAS specialise in procurement, design, management and execution of all works associated with High and Low voltage underground electricity networks on behalf of major framework contractors and Distribution Network Operators (DNO’s).
We have over 40 years combined experience specific to our services offered such as HV/LV cable jointing and terminating, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, 24 hours emergency call out, project management and more. Our purpose is to positively contribute to the electrical industry- providing value to our clients, customer and our people.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE

To ensure the EAS complies with all applicable workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations, policies, and standards. The Health and Safety Compliance Officer will monitor, inspect, train, and advise to prevent accidents, promote a safe working environment, and maintain legal compliance.

OVERVIEW OF MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct planned site audits covering health, safety, quality, environmental, and street works compliance
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to the Street Works Act (NRSWA) and other relevant legislation.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff and subcontractors on safe and compliant working practice
  • Liaising with operational and leadership staff to embed a proactive safety culture
  • Support the Quality assurance by conducting quality inspections and ensuring works meet specification.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all sites and teams.
  • Any other duties as reasonably required
