OVERVIEW

Starts Monday 8th September for 12 days
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Instructor to join our team in a contracting position . In this role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training programmes that promote health and safety awareness in the workplace. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with relevant regulations and foster a culture of safety among employees.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a health and safety instructor or in a similar role within a relevant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Certification in first aid is essential; additional qualifications in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH) are advantageous.
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficient in conducting root cause analysis to enhance workplace safety measures.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage participants effectively during training sessions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging training sessions on health and safety practices, including first aid, risk assessment, and emergency procedures.
  • Create instructional materials, including presentations, handouts, and assessments to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Conduct evaluations of training effectiveness and gather feedback to continuously improve course content.
  • Prepare detailed reports on training activities, participant progress, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Perform root cause analysis on incidents or near misses to identify underlying issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on current legislation and best practices in health and safety to ensure training materials are relevant and effective.
  • Collaborate with management to identify specific training needs within the organisation.
