JOB DESCRIPTION

The Action Group is a non-profit organization that provides a range of services to people with developmental disabilities in Central Alberta including Lacombe, Red Deer and Stettler. Our staff engage individuals and inspire them to become leaders in their own lives while constantly seeking innovative solutions in our quest to provide exceptional service.
We are currently recruiting for a part-time Health and Safety Coordinator position to organize and administer an effective H&S program.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma Occupational Health & Safety
  • 3 years of experience of Health & Safety Administration and processing WCB
  • Highly organized with solid attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of individuals
  • Strong computer and administrative skills (Windows, Microsoft Office, Webmail)
  • Driver’s License and Reliable Vehicle

Responsibilities
  • ensuring agency is prepared for external audit, completing internal audit, processing WCB incidents, reviewing accident/incident reports, data collection, maintaining H&S data base, facilitating H&S training, assist in the development of hazard assessments/controls, additional H&S administrative support as assigned
