OVERVIEW

The Health & Safety Manager plays a critical role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment within our organization. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety programs that adhere to regulatory standards and promote a culture of safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing environments and a strong understanding of occupational health regulations.

SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers’ compensation laws.
  • Experience in manufacturing settings with an emphasis on occupational health practices.
  • Proficient in first aid and CPR certification; ability to train others in these areas is preferred.
  • Excellent report writing skills to document incidents, inspections, and compliance activities effectively.
  • Ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis to prevent future incidents.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations set forth by the EPA.
  • Strong training & development skills to foster a safe working environment through education. This role is essential for maintaining the health and safety standards within our organization while promoting a proactive approach to workplace safety.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and workers’ compensation laws.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Investigate workplace accidents, conduct root cause analysis, and prepare detailed reports on findings to recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with management to create a culture of safety through effective communication and training programs.
  • Monitor compliance with environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations, ensuring that all practices meet industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, training sessions, inspections, and compliance activities for reporting purposes.
