Responsibilities

Reporting to the Group Health, Safety & Environment Manager and based onsite at the Homebush West Corporate Office, you’ll support, monitor and promote a proactive approach to the maintenance and implementation of the global Framework and Strategy through application of the H&S Management system across the business and its subsidiaries.
You will be part of an experienced and supportive Health and Safety team within a wider Human Resources team, supporting best practice across diverse risk areas - warehousing, logistics, construction, manufacturing, asset management, and retail – while empowering our people and franchisees across multiple jurisdictions.

You will also;

  • Update and maintain the H&S policies, procedures, resources and tools as required.
  • Support communication of the H&S Management System across the organisation including maintenance of the H&S intranet page.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on H&S performance to assist the business to identify and action improvements, facilitating best practice operations and the achievement of regulatory compliance.
  • Analyse and prepare reports for management where required.
  • Support H&S operational activities including adding value to H&S committees, consulting with stakeholders, conducting risk assessments, training and conducting general and emergency management planning.
  • Manage the incident and hazard management function including reporting, recording and investigating through to corrective / remedial action.
  • Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours.
