Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections, identify potential risks, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
  • Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses; analyze root causes and establish corrective and preventive action priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., CNESST, WHMIS, etc.).
  • Coordinate and actively participate in health and safety committee activities and internal/external audits.
  • Organize and deliver training sessions for managers and employees (e.g., WHMIS, respiratory protection programs, etc.).
  • Maintain up-to-date records, reports, and statistics related to health and safety.
  • Participate in annual audits with the prevention mutual and ensure follow-up on the action plan throughout the year.
  • Act as a change agent to promote a proactive culture of prevention and workplace well-being.
