OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and approachable Health & Safety Coordinator to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment for all employees. This position involves developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety policies and procedures with the support of an external Health and Safety Advisor to promote a culture of safety within the organisation. Preparation of CPP‘s, O&M’s RAMS and assessments will also be required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a health and safety role or similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Proficient in conducting root cause analysis for incident investigations.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various departments while promoting a culture of safety.
  • Relevant qualifications in occupational health and safety or a related field would be advantageous. (we would also consider applicants currently training or commencing training)

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed reports on health and safety performance, incidents, and compliance with regulations.
  • Preparation of CPP’s, O&M’s and risk assessments required for industry
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices, including first aid procedures.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of health and safety initiatives and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of training, incidents, inspections, and compliance activities.
