The Health and Safety Field Coordinator, under the direction of the Health Safety & Environment Manager, will be responsible for monitoring compliance of established policies and procedures, client’s policies/procedures, and Government Regulations, both in the field and office environment. This position will work to help foster an environment where all employees understand the value of a safe workplace. The role will coach supervisors and stakeholders as you evaluate the workplace and move the HSE program forward through communication and awareness.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Point of contact for Occupational Health and Safety within the organization.
· Execute health and safety directives as per the Health and Safety Field Manager.
· Provide Leadership by means of promoting, educating, training, and motivating employees.
· Perform site visits, inspections and audits as required and document observations.
· Aid/Advise the function of the JHSC meetings for designated sites.
· Ensure HSE regulatory compliance at all sites.
· Ensure compliance with policies/procedures as designed by the organization.
· Support the introduction of new HSE processes and Ideologies.
· Ability to report on health and safety issues and collect data and statistics.
· Interface with government agencies regarding compliance of all aspects of safety.
· Report on and ensure alignment with corporate HSE strategies.
· Assist with aspects of WSIB, PHR’s, JHA’s, workplace inspections etc.
· Evaluate, and disseminate pertinent information relating to HSE.
· Advocate safety performance, safety culture, and promote the IRS process.
· Inform/Mentor Managers on strategies to improve a safety culture.
· Promote Wellness to ensure an ongoing healthy work environment.
· Other duties as assigned in the capacity of meeting the needs of the HSE Department.
Requires Knowledge & Awareness of Following Tasks

· Ability in producing reports, good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.

Education, Training Certificates and Registrations
· Certified IHSA Construction Health and Safety Supervisor
· Relevant field experience.
· Valid G class driver’s license and a clean driving abstract.
