We have a proven track record in supplying a diverse customer base including Restaurant Groups, Airlines, Cruise Ships, High Street & Catering Butchers, UK Multiples and Online Businesses.
We are actively looking for an attentive Health and Safety and Human Resources Coordinator to assist with the continual improvement journey of the Health and Safety and HR standards in our workplaces. As H&S/HR Coordinator you will also be responsible for educating employees on how to follow health and safety and HR protocols more closely. This is a very exciting role in that you will be able to assist in implementing positive changes within the food service industry. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience of Health and Safety/HR ideally in a manufacturing environment or similar
- Proven experience in driving changes and improvements
- Able to communicate well with both shop floor and senior stakeholders alike
- Able to set own high-quality standards, e.g. attention to detail, led by example
- Demonstrate a passion for Health, Safety and Environment
- Analytical skills to interpret detailed information and regulations
- Proficient with MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
QUALIFICATIONS:
- NEBOSH Certificate- essential
- First Aid at Work – desirable
Responsibilities:
- Educate and monitor staff to ensure health and safety protocols are being followed
- Providing administrative support to the Human Resources Manager
- Assisting with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties such as probation reviews, absence procedures, AWOL and engagement
- Advising and supporting supervisors and managers
- Carrying out staff inductions
- Ensuring H&S management admin is complete and up to date
- Daily walk round inspections
- Investigation of incidents
- Supporting and reviewing policies procedures and risk assessments
- Preparing reports for management
- Regular audits
- Other reasonable relevant tasks where required
