JOB SUMMARY

The Health & Safety Coordinator/Assistant Project Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring a safe and compliant workplace within our construction environment. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety programs to minimize risks and promote a culture of safety among employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and experience in training and development to effectively communicate safety protocols and procedures. Another part of the job will be as project coordinator, assisting the project manager with various duties such as; submittals, change orders.

SKILLS

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and develop employees on safety protocols effectively.
  • Proficient in conducting risk assessments and implementing corrective measures.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Lead training sessions for employees on health and safety practices, including emergency response, equipment handling, and personal protective equipment usage.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and compliance reports.
