Description
Reporting to the Head of HR, the selected candidate shall be responsible for ensuring workplace safety through regular site inspections, risk assessments, policy development, staff training, and compliance with OSHA 2005 and related regulations. What you will be doing: • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure effective implementation of policies and procedures. • Perform regular risk assessment to improve occupational safety and health for staff, patients, visitors and any other person visiting the company premises. • Develop and maintain comprehensive operational policies and procedures that address all relevant hazards. • Formulate safety and health strategies and lead the development of internal policies. • Implement necessary changes to working practices to ensure compliance with OSHA 2005 and other applicable safety regulations. • Ensure all workplace injuries are appropriately managed, documented, and reported in accordance with company policy. • Lead regular in-house training and induction programs focused on safety and health awareness for all staff. • Support all departments in the safe installation and operation of plant and machinery. • Recommend and procure appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for eligible staff. • Provide expert advice on specialized safety areas including fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise control, machinery safeguarding, and prevention of occupational diseases. What are we looking for? • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent discipline. • Possess 2–3 years of relevant experience with in-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices. • Good communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills. • Excellent reporting skills & problem solving skills.
