JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting health and safety awareness among employees. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a health and safety role or similar position is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Certification in First Aid is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative in problem-solving situations.

  • Facilitate training sessions on health and safety practices, including first aid training for staff members.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with management to promote a proactive approach to workplace safety through awareness campaigns and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety-related documentation, including incident reports and training logs.
