Description

Due to continued growth, we have a need for a full time Health and Safety Officer based in Dublin.

HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER SKILLS:

The Health and Safety Officer role would suit a self-reliant motivated individual with 2+ years’ experience:

  • A third level qualification in Health and Safety or Member of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience within the residential / commercial construction sector.
  • Able to assist on-site management dealing with all health, safety and environmental matters, using their own initiative.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Able to deliver Health and Safety meetings and presentations.
  • Excellent Communication Skills both verbal and written.
Responsibilities

HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER DUTIES:

  • Identify site specific hazards and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Carry out site safety inspections and conduct accident, incident & near miss investigations.
  • Carry out Risk Assessments & complete Method Statements.
  • Contribute to the Toolbox talk topics, discussion, and delivery.
  • Liaise with Site Managers to ensure Health and Safety documentation complete and up to date.
  • Conduct training for new and existing employees
