The HSO is responsible for the inspection of job sites and reporting of working conditions, safety hazards, injuries, etc. The HSO ensures the completion of Site Safety Surveys and incident reports. The HSO ensures MSDS and the “Right to Know” station is available. The HSO ensures the proper inventory of PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) and all signage is maintained. The HSO performs safety audits on jobs. The HSO is capable of performing first aid on job sites. The HSO will hold conduct safety training and be part of onboarding of new employees. The HSO will assist in Fleet Safety and Driver training.
Responsibilities
The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for inspecting job sites, identifying safety hazards, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. They also conduct safety training, manage PPE inventory, and oversee incident reporting and site safety surveys.
