REQUIREMENTS:

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (must-have requirement).
• Proven experience in a similar HSE role, ideally within construction or interior fit-out projects.
• Sound knowledge of construction site HSE regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• First Aid at Work certification (preferred).
• CSCS card (preferred).

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health and Safety Officer to oversee and manage all aspects of health, safety, and environmental compliance on our site fit-out projects. This role is key to ensuring our operations meet legal and internal safety standards, promoting a culture of continuous improvement in site safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE legislation and company policies.
• Identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
• Deliver site-specific safety inductions and toolbox talks.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and produce detailed reports with corrective actions.
• Maintain and update site health and safety documentation (RAMS, safety plans, checklists).
• Liaise with site managers, subcontractors, and project teams to promote safety awareness.
• Support the development and implementation of site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
• Ensure appropriate PPE is provided, worn, and maintained.
• Stay up-to-date with current legislation and industry best practices.
