Description

SSP Construction, is a main contractor construction organisation that has recently expanded to ROI.
We are now recruiting for a Health and Safety Officer to work on projects throughout Dublin.
Company car included in the role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver the strategy for Health, Safety and Compliance in the organisation, in collaboration with senior management
  • Review, update and maintain all policy and procedures, keeping abreast of all changing legislation
  • Conducting regular audits and site inspections, highlighting any issues and creating action plans (plus making sure they’re followed through!)
  • Deliver training to staff, guidance to managers, and be the liaison with regulatory bodies, auditors, local authority and other external parties.
  • Support EHSS activities / programs at International HQ and International Offices.
  • Maintain site EHS programs including record keeping.
  • Develop and reviews site policies and procedures.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections.
  • Complete and review risk assessments.
  • Ensures accident investigations are undertaken by managers, providing support where necessary and ensuring improvement strategies are recommended and actioned.
  • Any other Adhoc duties that may apply.

Requirements:

  • At least 2/3 years experience in Health and Safety.
  • A third level qualification in health and safety an advantage.
  • Good team player.
