REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience conducting internal and external audits.
• Active and current membership with the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA).
• Minimum 2 of experience in construction, or similar industrial safety environments.
• Strong knowledge of provincial OH&S legislation and COR standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety reporting/documentation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Health and Safety Officer to join our team on a part-time or Casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented safety professional who is passionate about fostering a culture of safety in a construction settings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with OH&S regulations.
• Conduct internal and external audits, site inspections, and hazard assessments.
• Lead toolbox meetings, safety orientations, and incident investigations.
• Maintain and support COR compliance; coordinate with external safety auditors.
• Prepare and submit reports including near-misses and incident documentation.
• Track and manage training records and certifications for workers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for on-site safety concerns.
