At the Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital we’re seeking a Health & Security Assistant for our Security Services team. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff, patients and visitors by managing and de-escalating incidents and aggressive or difficult consumers; working with healthcare staff and in partnership with NSW Police when necessary.
You will play a vital role in supporting frontline healthcare professionals by responding to alarms, supervising various units, and completing general duties. You will work professionally and harmoniously, bringing your excellent communication skills and competency to the service. Responsibilities
  • Current Security Licence (Class 1A)
  • Recent experience working in a Hospital Security or Health and Security Assistants role
  • Ability and willingness to work shift work, unsupervised and part of a team
  • Demonstrated sound, written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding and ability to maintain confidentiality principles
  • Demonstrated understanding of Work Health & Safety requirements
  • Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
