Job Title: Lecturer – Health and Social Care
Location: Cambridgeshire based FE College
Salary: £23,014 – £33,876 per annum (pro rata for 30 hours; equivalent full-time salary £28,385 – £41,782), plus staff benefits

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

We are seeking an inspirational Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join our Care, Health and Early Years team at an FE College in Cambridgeshire. This is a part-time position (30 hours per week, full year), offering the opportunity to contribute to programme design, course development, and student success across a range of Health and Social Care programmes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching and learning in line with awarding organisation requirements.
  • Prepare Schemes of Work, assessment plans, and teaching materials for both in-person and online delivery.
  • Maintain teaching resources on the VLE and other platforms.
  • Undertake administrative tasks to ensure smooth programme operation.
  • Participate in assessment standardisation, internal quality assurance, and moderation.
  • Act as a personal tutor, supporting learners in tracking progress and achieving targets using ProMonitor.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students, parents/guardians, and employers.
  • Support the work placement component of programmes.
  • Contribute to student recruitment and admissions, attending promotional events and supporting publicity activities.
  • Lead one or more programmes and work collaboratively with team members to ensure effective communication and team development.
  • Be flexible to deliver teaching across evenings, Saturdays, and summer periods as required.
