The Health and Wellness Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive wellness programs and services that promote health and well-being among our clients and employees. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in health and wellness, program management, and team leadership. Experience working with First Nations or Indigenous communities is a significant asset.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Health and Wellness, Public Health, Nutrition, Exercise Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and wellness program management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of health and wellness practices, including fitness, nutrition, mental health, and disease prevention.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Experience with budget management and financial planning.
Certification in health and wellness coaching, fitness training, or related areas is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and wellness program management software.
Experience working with First Nations or Indigenous communities is a great asset.
Develop and implement health and wellness programs tailored to the needs of our clients and employees.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of wellness programs, ensuring they are effective, engaging, and sustainable.
Conduct needs assessments and use data-driven strategies to inform program development and improvement.
Coordinate with healthcare providers, fitness professionals, nutritionists, and other wellness experts to offer a comprehensive range of services.
Provide leadership and supervision to the wellness team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Monitor program outcomes and make adjustments as necessary to ensure goals are met.
Develop marketing and communication strategies to promote wellness programs and increase participation.
Manage the budget for wellness programs and ensure financial sustainability.
Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in health and wellness to continually enhance our offerings.
Foster a culture of health and wellness within the organization.
Engage with First Nations or Indigenous communities to develop culturally relevant wellness initiatives.
