Role Overview PIC, a Genus Company, has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a Health Assurance Veterinarian. The Health Assurance Veterinarian manages the health of cattle and pigs and will diagnose and treat illnesses that affect these livestock species. This role will conduct health exams, give vaccinations, draw blood, prescribe medications, clean and suture wounds, take ultrasounds and x-rays, perform surgeries, monitor the reproductive health of the breeding stock, perform artificial inseminations, assist with problem births, and conduct pre-purchase exams. This is a remote position based in México with approximately 60% of travel required domestically and internationally. You Will Requires in-depth knowledge and experience Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions Works independently, receives minimal guidance Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience May lead projects with manageable risks and resource requirements Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build agreement Lead health assurance programs (BioShield) for PIC farms: audits, surveillance, trainings Lead biosecurity and health improvement projects for PIC farms Coordinate vet2vet needs from clients PIC – internal and external Coordinate with PIC global: tech transfer, protocols, research, etc, to keep Latam updated Develop and design training materials for PIC farms and PIC personnel Support franquicies and partners needs #LI-GL1 Requirements Required: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
