KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Execute the Health & Safety Strategy, acting as a single point of contact for proactive and reactive health and wellbeing matters.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with human resources, health and safety, operational, and corporate stakeholders, contributing to strategic programs and projects.
  • Provide leadership, technical advice, and practical solutions for a wide range of health and wellbeing issues, including occupational hygiene and health monitoring, mental health, psychosocial risk, and job design.
  • Coach and build capability in operational teams on key health and safety activities such as AOD program facilitation, musculoskeletal and ergonomic risk reduction, fatigue management, and early injury intervention.
  • Manage Return to Work processes (work and non-work related), oversee Health & Safety Management System implementation and improvement, and support continuous wellbeing initiatives.
  • An ability and willingness to travel across the Endeavour franchise area.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Physiotherapy, Occupational Hygiene, Exercise Physiology, Health Science or similar

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree: Physiotherapy, Occupational Hygiene, Ergonomics, Health Science of similar
  • Certificate III/IV or Diploma: Health & Safety

Responsibilities

In this role, you will assist in delivering our Health & Safety plan and act as a subject matter expert for health and wellbeing matters. You will work to minimise the risk of occupational health exposures, hazardous manual task and ergonomic hazards, psychological and psychosocial harm, while increasing workers’ awareness, understanding, accountability, and engagement in proactive and reactive health management, safety, and fitness for work. You will investigate injury causation, assess related risks, and provide practical solutions to de-risk work activities and reduce injuries. The role also involves the facilitation of the alcohol and other drugs (AOD), fatigue, RTW and occupational hygiene policies and procedures, managing providers, and overseeing early injury intervention physiotherapy services. In addition, the role also supports the workforce in recovery and rehabilitation for non-work-related injuries or illnesses.
